RANN , India
The Rann of Kutch is a seasonal salt marsh located at the junction between northwestern India and southeastern Pakistan. It is actually made up of the Petit Rann and the Grand Rann and is part of the Thar Desert. Its ecosystem is very varied: from sand dunes to salt marshes, in æ by the lagoons, one can meet there flamingos, bustards, hyenas and several other animal species. When the marsh is dry, it gives way to a vast desert of salt, white and dazzling.
